Business Activity Statement and the W1 Amount

We are using Reckon Online and I was wondering why the W1 amount (Total Gross Pay) in the Business Activity Statement generated by Reckon excludes the Meal Allowance and Tool Allowance yet in the Payroll Summary Report both allowances are included in the total ?  I am lodging my BAS through the ATO Business Portal but just wondered why the amounts differed.

    Hi Lyn

    In that pink BAS screen, click on the "W1" button to configure the applicable tax tracking Payroll types to be included at that label (Gross Payments, all Allowances etc).

    Once saved, this should retain the setting next time you generate it.

    Yes of course.  I have checked those before but forgot about clicking on the buttons.  Thanks so much for helping out on this one
