Recovered Bad Debt

I have a customer who has contacted us in relation to an invoice that was written off as a bad debt (about 7 years ago).  He wants to pay it off (isn't he great) so how do i bring it back from a bad debt to a current debt?

    I believe there could be many ways, I would simply make a new invoice as you’ve already claimed the income and the expense when written off to bad debts

    HI Nicole

    How did you write off the bad debt in the first place, issue a credit note to the bad debt exp. account? Delete the credit not will bring the debt back and show it still with correct aging over 120 days.  If you did a jnl entry delete the jnl entry.
