Is there a way to set up portable long service leave accrual in Reckon Accounts Hosted like there is for superannuation or do I have to create a report to calculate the amount to pay for each employee?

Thanks

    Hi Megan,

I suspect the short answer is no. What portable LSL programme are you working with? Each state would have slightly different requirements. We are with Coinvest, and I use an excel spreadsheet to capture and calculate the number of days, and amount to pay each employee. I fill it in each week as part of the payroll process.

    Hi Megan

     Yes!

You can set it up like Super (as a “Company Contribution”) at the applicable % rate  😁

    Hi Sahz

I was worried if I set up the portable LSL as a super contribution, it would effect my STP.

If I select tax tracking as none, it will not effect my STP, is this correct

    Thank you for your help

    Hi Megan,

I'm not familiar with QLeave, but I know with Coinvest we have to supply the number of days worked as well as the payroll amounts, which include certain allowances. Once we submit those figures every quarter, Coinvest raise an invoice and we pay it. Hopefully the system for QLeave is a lot simpler and you can achieve what you need with the super contribution set up. Good luck!
