Accountant access to files

I have an unusual situation. I am the Office Manager for 2 different businesses which are run out of the same office. Each company has its own file within Reckon but on the same program. (Hope that makes sense. I simply switch between the 2 companies by "open previous file".)

The situation is that previously, both companies used the same Accountant and of course, this person has access to both files. Now, Company 2 has changed Accountants. Company 2s Accountant will only require access to the Company 2 file and Company 1s Accountant will only require access to Company 1s file.

My question - is there a way that I can prevent each Accountant from having access to the file they have no business seeing? (Eg Accountant 1 is denied access to Company 2s file)

Thank you.

Just set the accountant up as a user with their own password and put a password on the file under the admin login for only you. That way you will login under admin with your password and they will login under their name and password to whichever file you want them to access

Assuming that you are an Administrator for both Companies for each of them go to Company/Users/Set up users and roles and go from there
