If in employees no tax codes. You do mean GST tax code don’t you?

If you mean the code used to determine PAYG W, this is not directly influenced by whether an employee is casual or part or full time. It is driven by what is on the TFN Declaration (or subsequent variation).

The employee tax code is based on their specific circumstances - eg whether they’re claiming the tax-free-threshold (TFT), if they have a HELP debt etc - rather than their employment basis.

Many users are unaware that there are specific sections in the program with the list & explanations of all the available codes, options, tables, thresholds & dates etc !

To view these, click on Employees (along top toolbar)

    • Under Tax Table Information, if you click on the Tax Table Info button, you'll see the various hyperlinks down the LHS. Key for Tables will display all the available Tax Codes & when to use them. (Tax File Numbers is another very useful one & will give you the various default TFNs to use where the employee has not provided you with their specific TFN).
    • Under Superannuation Information, you will find terminology explanations as well as what constitutes "Ordinary Time" Earnings (OTE) for attracting Super, due dates & Code explanations
