How do I reduce the SGC amount to zero?
Hi,
One of my employees has passed their MCB (Maximum Contributions Base) for the quarter and thus no longer receives SGC. How do I get the Payroll App to recognise this - it wants to calculate the SGC at 10% and won't let me change it?
thanks
chris

@CSDavis In Payroll app you can change the SGC rate to anything but "0" even if the default comes up as 10. So have you tried a rate like "0.00001" something very small. This should calculate the SGC as zero (depending on the amount in earnings that you enter).

An alternative option could be to create a custom earnings item to use for these instances which has the 'Include in super guarantee calculation' option unticked.
There's a bit of info on how to create custom items in the following how-to video and help guide -
