I cannot migrate to the new app. The app tells me my ABN & branch number is already registered

The app asks me to sign in with a different branch number or sign in with a different account. Can you please assist me. Thank you Leigh.

    What is the ABN that you're trying to register into the Payroll App?

    Hi Rav

    the abn is 68 179 377 104, I used the free app easily but could not transfer over to the new one. I also have Reckon Hosted.

    Before I make any changes, can you give me a bit more background info since you've mentioned you also have Reckon Accounts Hosted. Is there any particular reason you're not using Hosted to perform payroll and subsequently your STP submissions?

    The reason I'm asking is, while you're more than welcome to migrate your STP app data over to the Payroll App and start using it for payroll & STP, if you decide later that you want to use Hosted for it instead, its going be a process for you to transition over.

    Either way let me know and we'll get this straightened out.

    Is there any particular reason you're not using Hosted to perform payroll and subsequently your STP submissions before now?

    I didn't know it was a feature until recently, I just used to use the free app.

    That's ok, just needed to check so we can determine the best way forward for you.

    Would you like to continue using a mobile app ie. the Payroll App separately from Reckon Accounts Hosted to perform payroll & STP?

    OR would you like to take this opportunity to start using the payroll functionality within Reckon Accounts Hosted?

    That's correct, payroll functionality is already within the Hosted service you use.

    Its a fair bit different from using the STP app as its a full payroll suite that is available to you in Hosted so there will likely be a learning curve.

    In relation to STP, you'll use Hosted to create pay runs and subsequently a STP file to send to the ATO. You'll use our GovConnect service to send that STP file to the ATO.

    I'm going to link some resources below which I'd strongly recommend that you review which should give you a head start on using Hosted for STP submissions.

    Hi Rav

    Thanks for the info, i'll watch the videos. When I log into STP it shows my branch number as "2". This is incorrect, it is actually 1. How can this be fixed? Leigh.

    Hi Leigh,

    I've just taken care of that for you.

    The next time you login you'll notice that the branch 2 registration is no longer there. You'll just need to setup your STP entity in the account with the correct branch.

    There's a walkthrough on how to setup the STP entity in GovConnect in the first help guide I linked in the earlier reply.
