PO TEMPLATE DEFAULT

I have customised the PO Template to suit our Company requirements BUT every time I log in and open the PO option at the start of the day, it ALWAYS defaults to the Reckon Template. I reset my template as the default and I am good for the day until I close the system and re-open then it goes back to the Reckon Template as the default.

You cannot delete or deactivate the Reckon Template. There is nothing under preferences to have my PO template default unlike the picking slip/Sales Order.

How do I get my customised template to default?

It is so annoying and not being able to at least deactivate the Reckon Template is a shortcoming in the system unless someone can kindly help me to ensure my template is "always" the template that defaults.

Thanks in advance.

Which Reckon product are you using? This post has been created in the Payroll Premier category however that is purely a desktop-based payroll software and doesn't have Purchase Order functionality.

If you're using Reckon Accounts (desktop) or Reckon Accounts Hosted then the Standard Reckon PO template can be made inactive, see screenshot below.

    Reckon Accounts Premier Edition.

We have both Sales Order and Purchase Order functionality

Reckon Accounts Premier is part of the Reckon Accounts software range (here).

Payroll Premier on the other hand is completely different payroll-only product.

The advice from my previous reply pertains to Reckon Accounts and/or Reckon Accounts Hosted so its applicable for your software.

I do not have a right click option, I cannot delete nor can I deactivate. See screen shots below. It simply will not allow me to deactivate the Reckon Template but it continues to be the default no matter what I try

Go to Lists ➡️ Templates ➡️ Right click Reckon Standard PO ➡️ Click 'Make Template Inactive'

    Rav,

Got it !!! I never went to the Task Bar "List" to access the templates to make them inactive. Thank you, I am one happy camper today after you advised me exactly how to do this simple task.

    Once again, many thanks
