Reckon Accounts (Desktop) - Excel option is greyed out

Options

I am a long time user of QuickBooks/Reckon Accounts (20 years) and I am frustrated that all of a sudden the option to export reports to excel is not available. :(

The laptop I use has recently been upgraded to Windows 10 Professional and I have Office 365 installed.

Before upgrading Windows & Office everything worked fine.

I have been using Reckon Accounts 2021 (Desktop) version, but have just installed Reckon Accounts 2022 thinking that this would rectify my problem - but it hasn't.

I contacted Reckon Support and they sent me the following article Export to Excel option is greyed out - Reckon Help and Support Centre . I followed it, but had a problem repairing Reckon Accounts - the following error message appeared and I had to cancel the operation.

Has anyone else had this problem and have you been able to fix it?

Any help is appreciated.

I don’t have as much to do with the techy side but it looks like your file &/or program installation might be the problem.

Have you verified & rebuilt your company file? I’d recommend running the Verify Data (Under the File dropdown menu > Utilities) then running the Rebuild Data option THREE times. (For some reason 3 x Rebuilds fixes a lot of issues!)

If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest uninstalling & reinstalling RA again to see if a fresh install fixes it.

I have 14 company files that I work with so I did the Verify / Rebuild on the smallest file. Unfortunately this didn't fix the issue. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled and this didn't work either.

    Hi @Caterina Maiorano

Sorry to see you're having issues with the export. Usually the steps in the help guide that you've linked does the trick but obviously hasn't in this instance.

The next step is to perform a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of the software. This differs somewhat to the 'normal' install process and I'll link step by step instructions below -

That should get you back on track however if there's no joy after performing the clean reinstallation we'll need to get a technician on the case here and possibly perform a remote support session if required.
