I have been advised of an employee pay rise who's pay cycle is from the 16th of the month to the 15th of the following month. He gets paid on the 1st of the month for that period.

I have been advised that there will be no tax for the adjustment for 15 days, just super to be paid.

I have tried to enter the details and upload to the the reckon gov connect site but it is not working.

I also tried to amend the April/May period with the extra amount to be paid for 15 days. That did not work either.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Debra

Can’t you just do an unscheduled payrun but for the date 2nd of the month? What’s happening when you do it ?

    Hi kris,

I worked out to do an unscheduled pay run; it worked then.

Thank you for getting back to me.

    Kind regards,

    Debra

Arrgh ... payroll in advance is never ideal. Is there a reason why they're not paid after the end of the cycle (eg the 1st of the following month) ?

Paying in advance makes leave complicated as they may take leave in that period but have already been paid! This is going to be more of an issue when STP2 comes in as wages need to be split out into applicable pay categories when reported 😬

Thanks Shaz. I will keep that in mind for the future. I have sorted out the issue this time with unscheduled payroll.

    Kind regards,
