Leave Liability reports

Can someone assist. When I create leave liability report it does not calculate the correct rate of pay. Therefore the total accrual amount for each employee to date is incorrect.
Hope this makes sense?

Hi Liza
From memory, I believe this is due to having multiple Payroll Item lines in the employee's record. Make sure the employee's standard (ordinary hours pay rate) Payroll Item is on the FIRST line, then try generating it again π¬

Thanks SHaz I have tried to do this - yes I have multiple payroll items across several different awards.
I will look at the ones which are wrong and redo them.

Hi Liza
You can still have the multiple lines, just make sure the standard rate is the FIRST one βΊοΈ

Just wondering if you worked this out Liza. I am having same problem. Weird though as one employee only has one payroll item in their employee record and it is pulling an hourly rate from 2018 (there have been several updates since then. Another employee has their current hourly rate on the top line of their profile but the report is pulling an old rate as well.. If you happen to work it out would be great if you could let me know.
thanks

Hi Leanne
Sometimes what I do is put the Holiday Hourly as the first line of payment for an employee.

Hi
This has been an issue for me in the past when an old rate gets "stuck" in the hourly rate used by the leave liability report. It happened when someone went from casual to full time in one instance.
To check all rates are correct what I did was add the earnings 1/rate to the leave liability report. That way I can see that the hourly rate is the same as the current earnings rate hourly rate. I also take this one step further and export to excel and convert the salary figure to an hourly rate just to make sure this also agrees with the hourly rate in reckon. I have also seen instances where the hourly rate was coming up as $0 for Salary (suspect it was someone who went from hourly to salary).
To correct all I did was remove the earnings1/rate on the employee record and reinstate it - that was enough to refresh for us and has not been an issue since - although it is part of my quarterly checks now.
I also have the Main (standard OTE) payroll item (hourly or Salary) as the first listed on each employee.

Thanks for the tips Janine. I added the earnings 1/rate to the leave liablity report and you are right it shows the correct hourly rate then. However it is still using the Hourly Rate (incorrect one) in the Holiday $ total.
Sorry if dumb question but how did you remove the earnings1/rate on the employee record. I am sure it is right in front of me but I can't see where it shows.
Thanks again

Hi Leanne
just go to the employee record and delete any pay items in the top box and reinstate them.
Earnings 1 will be the first one - however you will need it to stay in the top position so you can either delete them all and reinstate or change the top one to another payroll item then back again to the correct one.
This should be enough to refresh things - check the hourly rate has updated in the leave liability report (refresh it first)
Hope this helps.

Thanks Janine
Perfect that worked. I deleted and re entered them all. Silly me didn't even look in the employee profile that the Header says Earnings.
All sorted now thanks
cheers
