Why the items are shown exist, but cannot find in the item list?


I am trying to create an item, but it shows it already exist, but I cannot find it in the item list, including inacitve items.
Could someone help with this? because I need to use that item number in invoicing. I have attached the screenshot fyi.

It's possible you may have either a payroll item or account under the same name as the item.
Have you used anything with the same name in any other transaction?

No. I didn't have other account or payroll item under the same name.
I could have created and used the same name in previous invoices. But there is no way I can find them.

Do you use Reckon BankData at all?
Have you matched any transactions that have an item or item code similar to what you're adding currently?
At-present, this error should only appear if an item is using the same name or code as the item you are trying to currently create (as a means of preventing duplication).

yes. I know the mechanism. But I cannot find the item suppose I already created anywhere, and thus I cannot use it.
This item would just be shown in the invoice, but from memory, I didn't use that item for any invoices in the year 2023.

Hi @May Lee ,
In order to be able to find whether you have used that item previously or not you can check through the Item list report. To be able to get that report go to:
Reports center> Reports> Select list from the categories and generate item list.
Once you have generated that report you will be able to see all the items created and item code.
