Salary sacrifice and pay liabilities

Hello. I have set up a salary sacrifice with new payroll items as per the Reckon tutorial. It is showing on the payslips and shows as a negative in the P&L. Should it also be showing up in the Pay liabilities page or do I just pay as an expense and cancel out the negative amount?

Many thanks

I have done a test on the PAYG payment summary and the tax is correct and it shows the sal sal under reportable employer super contributions, but still shows the Gross payments including the sal sacrifice amount.

When I do single touch payroll the gross amount shows as less the sal sacrifice so do i need to worry about the PAYG payment summary?

    Many thanks

I see now that while the gross in STP is correct, nothing shows on the sal sacrifice column even tho it shows in the details page

    Very confusing

If it's been set up as a liability then yes, like PAYGW & Super, it should be reflecting in the Pay Liabilities window.

No - The old PAYG Payment Summaries are not compatible with STP2 as they are unable to reflect any of the additional STP2 disaggregated categories so these are no longer applicable. At the moment, there's not a specific STP2 report within RA/RAH to compare directly with STP columns but I believe Reckon are developing this for future release 😊

Salary Sacrifice should show in both the Salary Sacrifice & RESC columns of the submission Details screen in Reckon's STP portal:
