Cancel Pay Cheques & Update STP

I need to cancel 7 monthly pay cheques from 1 July 2023 to 31 March 2024. The employee involved is a company director who is now being paid via a dividend.

What are the steps involved to cancel the pay cheques and update the STP so that the employee payroll data will be removed from the STP lodgements?

Thanks

Nadene

    That's easier then 😊

    • Printout the last Payslip for the Director (so you have all the YTD balances to hand)
    • Go to Set Up YTD Amounts - under the Employees dropdown menu - & zero out all the relevant components for 01/07/23 - 31/03/24.
    • Submit the last pay run (that included the Director) again as an STP Update Event 😊
