She usually uses my Reckon Hosted when she finishes for the week, and then e-mails them out. But now with the new MFA, she would have to buy Reckon Hosted to use for approx. 20mins/week. I think it would not be financially feasible.

Any Suggestions?

Hi 1578712,

This is a limitation of both programs.
Reckon One and Reckon Hosted are 2 different programs. You can indeed create invoices in Reckon One but cannot be attached using Reckon Hosted or vice versa.

Can she do invoices on Reckon One, email to me on Hosted and I upload into her business on Hosted?

Reckon One and Reckon Accounts Hosted are completely separate and operate on vastly different technology platforms as well. While you can upload files to Hosted's Q drive, they will not come through and appear as an invoice in Hosted's invoice feature but rather just as a PDF file within the Q drive.

This in short programmes that talk between 2 systems , we as developers use this to connect digitally , between to applications.

So this has to be done by Developers i would say and we are what is called as Add on developers

To put simply, there isn't a connection between Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One in the way you're looking for in relation to your query.

While its correct each of these software have an API, this is something different and far removed from your query.

I'm just trying to find a more economical way for my client to continue to do her invoices on my licence as I do the majority of her bookkeeping. She only uses it for about 20mins/week and to save her from purchasing her own hosted licence just for this. It was ok before the new MFA came into play.

I am understanding the new MFA can only be used by either using the computer that has the authenticator installed or by a phone with the app. Not both linked to the one licence. Is that right?

That is correct. You can have one source where your MFA codes are sent to.

Just further if there is a Pdf Tax Invoice Cosmic can export to RAH with no issues.

Requirement is we need a PDF Tax Invoice, if i have understood the situation is correctly.

So would you say that if the client of @1578712 who is using the Reckon One to create invoices, generates them as PDF Tax Invoices, then you could use the Cosmic tools/apps to 'read' those PDF tax invoice documents and import the information into a Reckon Accounts Hosted data file?

Yes we already do.

Cosmic Bills can extract a bill AP or a Tax Invoice in minutes and exports them to RAH.

If the client wants we will give them a trial for 150 pdfs free

When I get my client sorted out with Reckon One, I'' definitely be contacting Cosmic Bills.

Is this something that Reckon may be introducing later on maybe for this type of situation?
