Setting up MFA

Hello,
I have been away for the last 7 weeks and got back to the desk yesterday and see this MFA which I obviously missed (wanted to get all last qtr stuff in before off oseas) and need assistance to get this done please.

all you have to do is, after you have entered your login, and before you Launch Reckon, go to the login and security tab on the right and setup MFA. If you already have MFA setup for the reckon portal for STP lodgement, and you use the same login details, you will just have to tick Enable MFA. Otherwise you should be able to follow instructions from the same window

Hi @Belmont3216
A good place to start would be our setup info here - How do I setup MFA for Reckon Accounts Hosted? 🔒
We've also got a FAQ on MFA for Reckon Accounts Hosted linked below which might be helpful 👇

HI Rav,
I have the same problem as Belmont3216. I have been away for May. I didn't know about this change. I dont do wages so dont have STP setup. I have read your instructions for after May 15. I have downloaded the Google authenticator. I opened it and chose scan QR code but where do I find the QR code to scan. The one shown on your instructions doesn't work.
I cant do anything if I dont have this code as I cant get into Reckon to change anything. I don't have a recovery pin as somehow the MFA was already set up when I got back from overseas. I need the QR to scan.
I am stressing about this as I need to get work done before we get further into June .

Sorry I'm not following, what does that mean exactly @Belmont3216?
Where in the process are you specifically? Can you please provide a screenshot as it'll likely give us a better idea of where things are going wrong.
@ralph1 it sounds like MFA is already enabled on your Hosted account. Are you sharing this particular login (user name and password) with someone else? If so, could they have already setup MFA on the Hosted account while you were away?

Hi Rav,
The first screenshot is when I went in to log into RAH and used my username and then password and then this came up when it asked me to put in my email address for validation and it says ëmail address is not associated with your username.
The second screenshot came up when I logged in with username and password and it asks for the MFA from your device - I dont have a code and thats what I am trying to set up.
Let me know if you require anything else,
Cheers,
Sheenagh.

The email address you are entering from your first screenshot does not match the email address your Reckon Accounts Hosted account is registered under. Its very close but there's a typo/missing letter compared to what you're typing in vs the email address that we have listed on your Hosted account.
I can see that your Reckon Community account is registered under the same email address that you're entering in from your screenshot so I'm guessing that is the correct one? ie. the one we have registered to your Hosted account is incorrect?
The second screenshot shows that MFA is already active on your account. I'm guessing that after you logged in there was an Enable MFA button that appeared as outlined HERE?
If you're not sure of the current source that your MFA codes are being delivered to please give our support team a call and a technician will be able to organise revoking the existing MFA from your account so you can set it up again.

HI Rav,
No I am the only login on this account.
Thats what confused me. I am the only person who uses this account.
Cheers

Hi @ralph1
Each Reckon Accounts Hosted login has a companion Reckon Portal account automatically created for it as well. I'm guessing at some point in the past you may have enabled MFA on that companion account so when you logged into Hosted you would have encountered an Enable MFA message such as the one pictured below rather than going through the setup process.
After you click the Enable button it will use the existing MFA that has already been setup from the companion Portal account.
My recommendation for your next step would be to give our technical support team a call and one of our technicians can organise for the current MFA on the account to be revoked so you can set it up again.

Hi Rav,
I am the only person using this licence and have not setup any MFAs.
Anyway I have put in a request to support.
Thanks
