Unable to create fortnightly payrun

Hi, I have created the first payrun for 2024-25 using unscheduled option.

and I have already paid it and submitted to ATO. Now I wanted to created next fortnight (1-14/07/24), but it does not give me an option to create fortnightly. If I do this, it goes back to 23-24 FY.

    Dear @twinning ,

This is usually due to how Schedules operate in the Payroll system.

A schedule must progress through each fortnight without skipping any fortnightly pay.

As such, it's likely your last pay of the 23-24 FY was unscheduled, causing this issue.

The best fix would be to run a "dummy" scheduled payrun with only one employee in it with no pay, then attempting to create this fortnight's pay via scheduling, then delete the dummy scheduled pay.

This should correct the dates back to FY 24/25.

If this doesn't work, it's likely because the fortnight for 24/25 FY has not yet passed, and it is preventing future-dated pays from being processed.

    Kind regards,

I am 100% sure the last fortnight (3-16/6/24) for FY 23-24 was a scheduled one.

However, the first fortnight for FY 24-25 (17-30/6/24) paid 1 July 2024, was unscheduled (I had to due to this issue).

For the dummy payrun, upon selecting Fortnightly, it reverts to 1/6/23- 30/6/24 financial period (as per screenshot) :(

    Dear @twinning ,

Then I believe it to be the latter issue - as the first fortnight of the 24/25 FY has not yet occurred, the system is likely not allowing you to process the pay.

You will need to wait for the pay date to occur to pay the payrun.
