STP Reporting does it need amending

I had to make another 4 hours paid in wages to an employee after lodging the STP.

So after I made the payment I think I ran a New Pay Event and lodged it all over again with GovConnect.

But I notice now the ATO site it is showing that way too make was paid out, so assuming this should have been an Update Event rather than new is that right?

If so if I run an Update Event now and lodge will this fix it up?

Submitting an update event for a pay run will only update the figures, or any changes in the pay run. But will not remove any submissions.

The submissions will be there as it is.

At this stage, it can be left unnoticed and the only thing that can be done here is to have the correct figures in the payroll summary report so, when you submit the Year end/EOFY, you have all the correct figures reported to ATO and it will override your previous submissions.
