Deleting uploaded excel and pdf files from MyLive (Q drive)

Is there a way to delete old uploaded excel and pdf files from the Q drive? I have created a folder in the Q drive that holds uploaded excel files and I also upload PDF files that I need to attach to invoices to the Upload folder.

There are quite a number of them now and would like to remove them.

    Hi @Therese R

Yes, you can delete files from your Q drive if you no longer need them. We've got a step by step guide which I'll link here - https://help.reckon.com/article/k2d8o6k9s6-kba-5645

⚠️ Please note: Once a file has been deleted from your Q drive it cannot be recovered so take care when selecting files to delete.

Thanks Rav - I will give this a go.

    HI again Rav

That all works. However, it seems I can only delete one line at a time. I have potentially over 100 of these files so deleting them all individually is fairly tedious. Is there a way to delete in bulk?

Completely understand where you're coming from @Therese R

The Hosted toolbar can only support single item selection so unfortunately you won't be able to select multiple items within the window.

A workaround you could look at though is to create a new folder in your Q drive and drag any of the files you wish to delete into that folder. Once you've moved them all into the folder you can just delete the folder. Dragging files is a bit easier and it should save some a bit of time and clicks from selecting and deleting each single file along with confirming the delete.

    HI again Rav

Similar issue - unable to select multiple files to drag to new folder. Might just have to leave it or I will delete the current Excel folder and start a new one.

Rav, this would be a good option for future uprades if we could simply select multipile files, to either move or delete them

Agreed @Paul Mason, this area could do with a bit of love around file management. I can't make any promises, but I've passed this feedback over to the Hosted product team.

@Paul Mason In the meantime, as a workaround, I create applicable folders for my files - Bulk files can then be deleted via folder deletion if necessary 😊
