Do I still need to process STP for a missed payment?


If I only processed a one day missed payment for an employee, do I still need to process STP for this pay?

Dear @Zheng ,
You need to submit each payrun for each employee when they are paid to the ATO, per their rulings.

Technically, yes.
However … in reality, as long as the employee is still current (eg continuing to be paid via payroll), their figures will get picked up in the next pay run anyway as STP doesn’t specifically report each pay run’s totals, it simply updates each employee’s YTD balances, each submission ☺️
