ISSUES WITH RECKON ACCOUNTS HOSTED

Hi Team,
We switched over to Reckon Accounts Hosted just before Christmas and I am experiencing several issues with it.
- Sometimes when I am entering data (in Estimates & Change Order), certain parts of the page I am working on won't allow me to enter details i.e put in a purchase order number or change the date. I have to log out or hit the back button and then go back in to the page I am working on to continue entering details. Also, sometimes the page I am working on freezes up and I can't input any data, so I have to log out.
- The printing option keeps reverting back to one copy even after I configure it to print two copies. This happens after I log out for the day and log back in the next day. I didn't have this problem before with Reckon Accounts Enterprise.
- Sometimes when I am trying to enter a bill, I get a message that comes up it will abort the details I am entering, and I have no option but to close Reckon Accounts Hosted.
Could someone please offer a solution to these problems as it's becoming very frustrating using this software now.
Thank you.

If the file is aborting regularly I think you have a data corruption issue
When was the last time you verified the file?
If you arent using Edge browser, you probably should be.
Reckon will tell you to use Chrome
Its not necessary.
I use Brave. I will not use Chrome.
Also, you can get a installation key code for Reckon Enterprise download your company file and work with it offline to test if the issues are internet or network related
I have a VERY solid HFC internet connection in Geelong, around 500mbps. Never fails
Call me any time if you get stuck

Hello @Zappy
I usually verify the account once a week and I don't get any messages there's an issue with the account.
I usually log on with Chrome but I tried Edge today. I don't think it has made a difference to be honest.
I have been having an array of issues with Reckon Accounts Hosted this morning. The print template changed from portrait to landscape since I last used it on Friday. Printing took ages to the point I had to ask someone else in the office to print off a delivery docket and invoice for me because it was taking so long.
At one point, I couldn't use any of the features within the program (couldn't do delivery dockets, invoices, estimates etc). I logged out and logged back in. It's working for the moment but still slow.
I'm not sure about our internet connection details. If that is what's causing the issues?
Thanks anyway for your help and leaving your details.
Regards,
Jen

@JEN have you done a file rebuild recently? If not go to file - utilities - rebuild data. And do it 3 times

Hi Kris,
I haven't done a file rebuild and I'm not confident enough to do this (afraid to mess things up), so I will contact a Reckon consultant to come in and fix it for us.
Thanks all the same for your input.

Hi Zappy,
As I mentioned to Kris, I will get someone in to fix the problem.
Thanks for your help. :)

A file rebuild is a pretty standard utility, it does a backup first so if your fears were realised, which I very much doubt, you can always restore from the backup. A rebuild is just as important as verify data

As I mentioned
I can do this remotely
The first step is to load the file to your desktop computer to test if the issue is with the hosted server
If you can make a portable backup you can run a few more integrity checks.
Its a LOT easier to rebuild the file on the desktop than in the hosted server.
Don't take my word for it.
Try it
You could also try restoring your backup to see if it behaves the same way
The problem with data integrity issues is it can get worse if you dont address it.
