Looking to enhance your Bank Feed Management skills?

Bank feeds save you time by automatically sending your transactions to your accounting software. This means you spend less time on reconciliation and more time growing your business. The data sent is highly secure, and you can stop the feed anytime through your bank or software.

Sometimes, you might need to reauthenticate your bank feed. Here's why and how to do it

When will you be required to authenticate?

  • Your bank website login details are incorrect. For example, if you recently changed your password but didn't update it in the portal, you'll need to enter the new password to access your account.
  • Your login details on the portal need to be updated. For example, if you recently changed your email address or username etc., you'll need to update it in the portal to continue accessing your account.
  • The connection to the site to access the data has been lost.

In any of the above cases, the first step is to re-authenticate the bank feeds or update the details in the feed.

Additionally, if there's an issue on the bank's side that has been ongoing, it could cause a disconnection from the site. In such cases, you'll need to re-authenticate to access the feed again.

Who can authenticate the feed?

The re-authentication must be done by the same portal user who created the feed. If another user attempts to re-authenticate on their behalf, they will encounter an error, as shown in the attached screenshot.

Why don't transactions appear in my file?

There are a few reasons why this might happen:

  • Your username and password require an update.
  • Follow the steps mentioned above to re-authenticate.
  • The feed is set up correctly and is active, but it is not yet linked to the correct bank account to show the transactions.

Once the correct bank account is linked to the bank feed, it will start displaying the transactions. Check out our detailed guide here -
