Font on 1 May release


A number of our users are having difficulty reading their Reckon Hosted screens with the new upgrade. The fonts are light and pixelated. Any one else having similar problems?

Thanks for flagging this, can I get a few details from you.
- Firstly, can I grab a screenshot which shows the screen quality.
- Are you using Windows or Mac and what is your operating system?
- Which browser are you using? Does the same thing occur on a different browser?
- What type of monitor are you using? ie. an external monitor, built-in laptop screen etc
- What is the screen resolution of your display?
- Are you using any zoom or magnification settings on your browser or PC settings?
- Is it happening on all screens in Hosted or just some/selected screens?
- Has this always been an issue or has it only started since the upgrade to the new platform?

- i am using window
- I have tried Edge & Chrome
- External and Laptop
- Resolution 1920x 1200 (which is recommended)
- No zoom
- All screens in Hosted
- This only started since upgrade.
Help as its affecting eyesight, its quite frustrating.

Yes, we're having the same issues. I've been trying to read the screen for 5 minutes trying to find out how to change the font and already have a headache and eyestrain. Please sort this out.

- No zoom, but my colleague has discovered if we use the Firefox zoom to 110% or 120% we can at least work on the system, but it gets more blurry the more you magnify (the screenshot is at 100%)

@gcamm no I've not seen any response / update on the font/screen issue. I wish something would happen soon as its actually giving me a headache trying to work on it like it is at the moment.

They are looking in the background to see if it can be fixed. Unfortunately it can't be fixed that easily. That's what i have been told.

My computer was lagging when trying to use RAH earlier, so I logged out.
Now that I have logged back in, the font looks back to normal (not faint or pixelated) just the home page.
The invoice, purchase order, delivery dockets, bill entry etc still look pixelated.

As everybody else is saying, eyes hurting and headaches from trying to work with a system that is currently unworkable. Be great to have an update on what is happening and hopefully this is something we don't have to go about changing as already a nightmare trying to deal with logos.

Our teams have been investigating this throughout the day, and while the root cause is proving difficult to pin down, please rest assured that it has our full attention. We’ve made this a top priority and are looking at a few things that will hopefully improve the situation. I can't make any guarantees just yet but what I can do is keep you updated as we make progress.

Morning everyone
Our teams have actioned some work overnight in an effort to try and help toward the reports of low quality display reported here.
We're confident this should improve the overall quality of the display in Reckon Accounts Hosted's new platform however we'd be very keen to hear feedback from the folks in this thread.

Hi Rav, Most of our users are happy with the outcome, but one is still having issues. I have attached his screenshot which he doesn't feel is as clear and defined as it was before the upgrade. I'm not sure that it looks too bad but will let you be the judge!
- Windows 11 Home Version 24H2
- Google Chrome
HP Spectre laptop screen and does not use a separate screen
- The display resolution is 2880 x 1800
- Not magnified, just at 100%
- Happening on all Reckon Hosted screens

Hi Rav, yesterday the font was larger than usual and blurry. Today, after a few hours of use it supersized itself. Can you please let me know how to fix this.

Glad it’s sorted for most 🙂. In regard to the other user, I’ll be honest—it’s a bit hard to say based on that screenshot, as it looks pretty good to me, but I guess that can be subjective. Can I ask a favour? Could you ask him to give it a few days and monitor it, just to see whether he feels it actually improves with use or if any specific patterns emerge that make it clearer when it doesn’t feel right? If he’s still finding it unclear after that, let us know.

That definitely does look strange. Is that happening consistently across any/all invoices you attempt to create? Do you have any zoom/magnification settings enabled on your browser and/or PC?
If you exit your file and logoff the active session within the Reckon Accounts Hosted control panel and then go back in, does the same thing occur?

No zoom, mag, etc enabled. Statement text is slightly enlarged, and "fuzzy". Invoices, purchase orders, and estimates are all massive as in previous screenshot. As far as I know no one has changed settings. I quit out of Reckon earlier, logged in again, and it was still the same. I have just logged out again, retried, and it is back to normal. I'll try it again tomorrow morning. Thanks for your quick reply.
