Unable to Open Two Company Files Simultaneously Since Platform Update


Hi,
Since the new Reckon platform was launched, I’ve noticed that I can no longer open two company files at the same time. This is a feature I relied on regularly, as I need to enter data in two different company files side by side. Is there a workaround or update planned to restore this functionality?

never been able to open 2 files at the same time, I had to do exactly that the other day and the only way I could do it was download a copy to PC and open in Enterprise desktop and the other one in Hosted

Previously, I was able to click "Launch Accounts" twice, which opened two separate sessions. This allowed me to work on two different company files independently at the same time.1 -

From my understanding, the ability to open multiple files has not been an option as Reckon Accounts Hosted is designed to support one company file session at a time per user login.
The process you've described is surprising to me though and while I completely understand being able to work across multiple files simultaneously can be convenient, this functionality isn't supported on the Hosted platform and there are currently no plans to implement it.
In terms of using or managing multiple users/sessions, if you regularly need to switch between different company files, one option is to consider using a second user login (if available in your subscription), which can allow access to another file in a separate session.
