payroll aba file customisation

Having the ability to generate the payroll aba file from within the payroll screen has been a great improvement.

But, the aba file now generated has a reference of "Payroll" and not what is entered into the employee card, which in my case is "wages xxxxx".

This is very handy when staff work across different entities in a pay fortnight they can see which business has paid them what amount.

And also, the aba file is given the generic bank name at the beginning of the file, not the bank name as in the file setup, ie Commonwealth, not CBAxxxxx.

This is proving to be awkward when processing payroll for a number of related entities on the same morning.

Yes, renaming the file can be done, but if the file is generated from within the bank screen then this isn't necessary.

And yes, editing the aba file reference is possible but I do try to avoid that, especially if one is editing twenty or so lines of text, also editing aba files is not good practice as mistakes do happen.

Our development team checks it regularly and others can upvote the post, but please be mindful that we will need a clear outline of what you would like developed in the software so we can hopefully implement it for you.
