Hiding the Reckon Accounts Hosted toolbar! ✨

We’ve heard your feedback! 🙂
Reckon Accounts Hosted has just received an update which introduces a new option to hide the toolbar in the new platform. This enhancement comes directly from user feedback and offers a more streamlined experience for those who prefer a cleaner interface or want a little more screen real estate while working.
How do I hide the toolbar?
When you're logged in, click on Preferences ➡️ tick the new Enable the toolbar to collapse when in a minimised screen mode option.
You'll notice a new chevron button appears under the toolbar. Clicking this will hide the toolbar!
You can opt to show or hide the toolbar at any time by clicking the chevron button.
A few other things to know
- When you login and start a new session, the toolbar will show on-screen regardless of whether it was hidden at the end of the previous session. Simply click the button to hide it if required.
- We've also identified a little issue where after enabling the option to hide the toolbar and then entering and exiting full screen mode, it results in a disconnection message appearing. Clicking the Retry button will reconnect your session immediately. We're looking into this at the moment.

Not sure who said to remove the toolbox. Has anyone tried to find what they're looking for in the new My Files feature? Yes, I know you can search but I did like the old way where I knew what I was looking at.

Hi @MCD2
You’re absolutely right that the My Files experience is quite different from the previous version, and I completely understand that adjusting to the change can be challenging—especially when you're used to a particular workflow.
We heard from many users in regard to the toolbar, particularly those who were working from smaller screens such a laptop or those who preferred a more minimal layout. That’s why we've added the option to hide the toolbar—so you can choose what works best for you.
We’re continuing to review all feedback around My Files, including how easy it is to navigate, and we’ll keep looking at ways to improve the experience. If there’s anything specific about the old setup you’d like to see return or any suggestions that could help improve the new layout, we’d love to hear it! Create a new post by clicking here.
