    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to reset the printer to default to A4. I have spoken to Reckon's support staff and made the changes that they recommeded, but it still defaults to "Letter" page format. It drives me nuts to have to waste my time changing the paper size to A4 every damn time I have to print something!

Ever since Reckon changed to Certificate Based Authentication, the new interface always defaults to the American "Letter" page format. That's probaly because the Cert based authentication is an Amazon product….which is American and they follow the imperial FPS system.

I prefer the metric format. Does anyone have any suggestions that works…?

———I reckon that Reckon should start considering how convenient their product is for their customer's to use. What to you reckon?? 😕

I have read that you need to go into your template list and select A4 in there for each invoice template that you use, I haven’t had to do this myself but it’s just what I’ve read

    Hi @AllisterL

If you print from Reckon Accounts Hosted without changing the default paper size setting back to A4, is your invoice printing out of alignment?

We're currently investigating the behaviour where the default setting changes to Letter at the start of every new session. If you change the setting to A4 it will retain that selection throughout the course of that session however unfortunately it switches back once the session ends. We've got a help article on this which I'll link here - https://help.reckon.com/article/quvci9i8o0

    Hi @Kris_Williams

I tried that, but it still defaults to "Letter" as @Rav mentioned when you start a new session.

    Hi @Rav

When I hit the print button, a dialog box popped up to let me know that the print would not be aligned due to the incorrect page size. When I continued on, the print preview displayed was on a "Letter" sized page.

I continued on without changing it to A4 - as I have been doing - and the printed page came out in the correct layout and format. This is both on hard copy prints and PDF prints. So that is good.

However, I did follow the instructions on the article that you linked. I changed all my templates to A4 as shown in the Workaround Option 1.

Lets see how that goes….. I'll let you know if that works….

Cheers and thanks for the help.

I am having this problem too. I make changes to my Printer Setup when I go into Reckon Accounts Hosted, but each time I end a session it reverts back to Letter when I log in the next time. I hope Reckon can get this sorted out soon. Very annoying!

    Hi all,

It has been a couple of days now since I made the changes as noted in my post above to @Rav….and so far it seems to be working. It works…and I haven't had to change page size to A4. It actually has remained on A4 as required.

So thanks @Rav for pointing me in the right direction.

    Cheers!

The problem still persists for me in respect of pay slips. I just know that when I need to print them off, I need to go and change the setting first.
