Reckon Accounts Hosted 2025 - Inventory adjustment

Hi, since updating to the 2025 Hosted version any stock adjustment that I attempt to make seems to crash Reckon. This is happening on different devices and user logins not just on the one. Has anyone else had this issue?
Also since updating Reckon on my Mac I can no longer bring up the drop down menu to run a fast report on an item. I used to be able to do this by right clicking and holding control at the same time. This too no longer works. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues.
I am using Chrome and have updated it to the latest version.

Hi @RebeccaOhara,
Have you tried doing a verify and rebuild on the file?
Doing this can detect whether the company file may be damaged.

Thanks I will have to try that, not sure whether that will fix the issue with the menu to run fast reports on my Mac though

I'm not familiar with any changes that might have caused this issue with Mac if it worked previously.
Can you confirm the following for me:
- Does anything happen at all when you do a CTRL+Right Click?
- Does the option appear when you just right click?

Nothing happens when I do this, it works ifyou just right click on a PC but not a MAC. CTRL+ right click use to work but no longer does

Jason I have done as you suggested and no erroRs have been detected yet the issues is still occurring

Hi @RebeccaOhara,
I've been speaking with my team, and was wondering if youcould clarify a few details about the issue:
- Does the crash occur when entering a new Inventory Adjustment, where saving it causes a crash?
- Or does the adjustment save successfully, with the updated inventory figures reflected in the Item List, and the crash happens afterward?
- Does the crash occur only when generating an Inventory FastReport for the specific item that was adjusted?
- Do any other inventory-related reports cause a crash?
You also said that you have done rebuilds, can you provide us with those log files to help with diagnosis.
You need to ensure that you are first logged out of Hosted then:- Login to the Hosted platform
- Use the My Files to go to the Q:\Log folder and download all the log files
verify_rebuild_data.log
verify_rebuild_data.log.old1
verify_rebuild_data.log.old2
and so on…I also noticed you managed to get the fast report in the screenshot. Is it working now?

Yes we discovered this on Tuesday when I tried to open an adjustment. Reckon IT does not know how to fix it and suggested we had actually corrupted a file. Glad it is not just us. This is affecting every single stock adjustment in our database when you try to open it. Thousands of transactions over 16 years.

Entering stock adjustments and creating reports work fine. The system crashes when you try to open a transaction!!

Thanks for your assistance Jason shall I send you an email directly? To send all this information to? Also do you want me to download and send the logs or just screenshot the names?

@RebeccaOhara I've send you a direct message 😁
We'll look into it.

Thanks Robyn glad to see it isn't just effecting me. Mine crashes when I also do the adjustment however it does save it, and then also crashes when trying to open the transaction.

Yes same thing happening - its the worse time for this to happen as its end of financial year - Stocktakes are such an important part of this and then you cant go back into it to check anything along with previous years.

I'm having exactly the same problem. When I try to go back into an inventory adjustment the system crashes.
Has anyone solved this yet? I don't have the time to go back into every inventory adjustment, delete them from the register and re-enter them.

Thank you for your patience, everyone. We are still investigating these reports.
For customers experiencing this, I was wondering if a ticket has been raised with our support team already?
In the meantime, a possible workaround for viewing these adjustments could be the following:
Generate a Custom Transaction Detail Report and modify it to show only Inventory Adjustment type transactions. Be sure to include the Item and Qty columns for the dates you need to review. This will display the information contained in the inventory adjustment transactions without needing to open them.
Since attempting to view the transaction may cause a crash, if you need to view or delete an existing one, you can:
- Go to the Chart of Accounts list.
- Open the register of the account where inventory adjustments are normally assigned.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to select the row containing the inventory adjustment transaction.
- Click on the Edit menu, and choose Delete Inventory Adjust to remove it.
I will keep this discussion updated, as I receive more updates from my team
