Child support deduction: STP reporting

in Reckon Payroll

Is it possible to report Child support deduction payments via STP in Reckon one Payroll? I’m processing payments using the reference no. But I received a call from Services Australia informing that they are not receiving this info through STP. They confirmed that they have received the payment.

    Hi @Sehrawat,

    Child support deductions or garnishee reporting is not mandatory as part of STP Phase 2, it's currently not supported in Reckon Payroll at this stage.

    Thanks, Lucas. Services Australia informed me that the child support deduction payment is sitting on their end because they’re waiting to match STP data sent to the ATO. I’ll let them know that this functionality isn’t supported by our payroll software.

    They should be aware that it isn't compulsory to report through STP. A lot of other software that my clients use don't do it either because it's not required
