    Hi Bronnie,

You can set up a deduction item under Settings>Pay item> Deduction>Create a deduction item.

You can then add this item to relevant employees' pay set up.

    I hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Karren

    Hi @Bronnie

Child support deductions/garnishees are not a mandatory component of Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 reporting at the moment so at this stage its not supported in Reckon Payroll for STP.

I'm on leave from 23 December and back on deck again January 6th.

If you're working through the holiday period, we've got support available and you'll find our holiday hoursHERE.

    Hi Karren,

I have got that far but I have to select a deduction type. There is no Child Support in the drop down box to select. There is also not a Not Reportable to choose from if your software is not reporting this information via STP2 yet. am unsure how to proceed as I cannot leave this drop down box blank.

    Hi Rav,

So what option do I select in the deduction type so that it is not reported to ATO?

    Hi Bronnie,

Just like what Rav said, reporting of child support is not mandatory in STP 2 and is not supported by Reckon payroll at this stage. Therefore, it should just continue to remain mapped toย Other.

    Best regards,

    Karren
