I'm trying out the new pay run update today and I know this is probably insignificant but why does the rate field go blue when I enter in an amount?
Is there any significance that I should be aware of?

That's actually a great question and observation.
There's a simple answer for it as well, the rate field becomes highlighted in that way when you enter in a rate that is different to what is listed in the employee's Pay Setup information in their profile.
Its just a little visual indicator to let you know that the employee's default rate has been overridden and if you hover your mouse over the field, a little tooltip will appear to let you know as well đ
