I just sent my first pay run in Reckon One yesterday.
I think I sent the submission correctly but how do I know it went through?

Congratulations on successfully submitting your first pay run.
Here’s how you can check that your STP submission went through correctly in Reckon One:
Go to: Payroll ➜ STP
You’ll see a list of all the STP submissions you’ve made.
Look at the Status column beside the submission you sent yesterday. It will show:
Success – The ATO has accepted the submission.Pending – Still processing. This is very normal, especially for your first STP lodgment.Error – Something needs attention. You can click into it to view the details.
I’ve attached a video for you as well. At the end of the video, you’ll see exactly where to go to view your STP submissions and check their status.

How long does it usually take to show whether it's been successful or not?

It would have been easier for me if you could just answer rather than making me read through something else.
Does that mean there's a problem with the STP service like it was discussed in that other post?

There don't look to be any current issues with the SBR2 service so my recommendation would be to just give it a bit more time for your submission to process. While most submissions get processed pretty quickly during off-peak times, you'll need to allow the ATO up to 72 business hours to process a submission and this can stretch out further when we're in the EOFY period.
Don't worry too much about it at this stage, I'd say it'll be processed soon and once we've received a response back from the ATO for it then your status will be updated automatically.
