Superstream batch with merged super fund

Hi Everyone

I am trying to do our first batch on Superstream to get ready for the payday super. It is bouncing back because the ABN and USI no long matches the TWU superannuation fund which i now know is because they have merged with Team super. I have changed it on the relevant employees info and also archived the TWU fund in the list of super funds in payroll settings.

However when i validate the batch it is still saying the TWU info is the issue and i checked the employee and they are still down for TWU even though it is no longer the fund attached to them in their file

Actually, disregard my previous reply as I think this might be solved @BobW but there are a couple of things you'll need to do.

✨ Firstly, delete the draft SuperStream batch that you currently have.

✨ Head into Payroll Settings ➡️ Payments ➡️ Set the Superannuation Payment Account field to the correct bank account

✨ Once that is done, mark the pay run(s) as paid. This should now work correctly.

✨ Create a new SuperStream batch and validate it. Confirm whether any errors appear and if not, I believe you should be good to go but I'd like to hear how you go.

Great to hear you're starting off with SuperStream 🙂

Now that you've updated the super fund info in the employee profile, did you also update the pay run to reflect these updates?

If not, then I'm assuming when you open the pay run for this employee, it likely still has the old super fund details listed in the Super Guarantee section, is that correct?

I have just gone through and changed the pay runs so its showing the correct / new fund. Now when i try and mark the pay run as paid its saying i cant as it includes an employee that is inactive ? As far as i can tell i haven't changed anything else on anyone

I think we might need to take a closer look at this.

Can I just confirm, did you change/update the existing TWU super fund that you had in your book to the new details, OR did you create a new super fund for Team Super to apply to the employee and then delete the previous one?

Also, can I get you to grant access to your book to Reckon support so we can take a closer look? There's info on how to do this here.

I made the existing TWU fund inactive and made a new fund for the team super.

I have now logged on this morning and tried to validate the batch and the errors about TWU have disappeared which is good but so has the relevant employee and when i try to add another employee it says there are no more available.
