UPDATING EMPLOYEE PAY RATES & MEMBER VOLUNTARY ISSUES

Hi Team,

After I did my pay run today, I had to update several employees pay rate so the change takes affect next week.

After doing this, a notification (warning symbol) next to their names prompted me to verify the superannuation details. I did this and now it's in the pending stage.

However, one of the employee's who does Member Voluntary, their payment amount disappeared from their pay record. I only noticed this after I did the verification. I added the amount back in but when I went to check again, the amount has disappeared again.

Any reason why this is happening?

Hi Jen

The notification warning symbol you're seeing in the employee list is related to the new Member Verification Request (MVR) for Payday Super which is now in Reckon One from today. There's more info on MVR here -

In regard to the Member Voluntary disappearing from the employee profile, can I just confirm are you seeing that remove from the super fund in the Superannuation tab or in the employee's Pay Setup?

Hi Rav,

I figured that the MVR is because of the change in pay rate.

The member voluntary issue is in the employee's pay set up. It won't allow me to add the amount.

I am wondering if this has something to do with the MVR? I have to wait until it's verified and then I can add the amount.

I don't think MVR should have any impact here, although I could be wrong since its just gone live today.

Which employee is this affecting and what's the amount you're trying to add in?

Thanks for that Jen, I just had a quick look and I can see the Member Voluntary line in the Pay Setup for that employee was set to $0.00 so I've changed that to $150.00.

It seems to have worked and I've refreshed on a couple of occasions and checked back. Can you please jump in and take a look as well and confirm whether its now correct?

I just checked and I can now see the $150.00 in the MV line.

Thanks for fixing it up but I don't know what you did differently to me, as that is exactly where I put the amount the first and second time.

Could you step me through the exact process you were going through?

I know this is a silly thing to ask but, did you click Save & Finish after adding in the amount or did you click away to a different screen etc?

Yes, I added the amount and clicked "save and finish". I could see the amount but when I logged off and went back in to check, the amount had disappeared.
