Invoice numbering

Hi I can't figure out how to update my Invoice numbering:

As far as I can see the next number should be Inv 1630, but settings is telling me it will be 1631, do you know why?

The invoice numbering takes into account and retains the invoice number of any invoices that have been deleted as you'll see from the message below.

As @Eric Murphy mentioned above, could you have created and then later deleted the invoice that was assigned invoice number 1630?

Just wanted to let you know in case its helpful, in a couple of weeks Reckon One will receive an update that will bring in the ability to change an invoice number on the creation of a new invoice.

I'm waiting to get full info on how that new feature will work so stay tuned for that but wanted to let you know as it might be something that's useful for you when it does come through.

Have you deleted the invoice that would have been 1630?

If there is no invoice "INV1630", then you could set the next invoice number to be 1630.

I cannot find a Inv1630 at all, and yes I have tried to set Inv 1630 and get this message

Yes Rav I could have created and deleted an Inv 1630, as I copied and created a couple as I could not figure out what it was doing and how to do this.

I create the Invoices and email them out in Word/PDF and then just enter them into Reckon advising my own Invoice number in Reckon Hosted, but when I went to do in Reckon One it dictates to me what numbers, is there a way to stop it doing this automatically?
