Here's a new Reckon One update coming your way and it includes one of our longest standing feature requests!
Check out the full inclusions below.
✨ Ability to assign invoice number
Its finally here! 🎉 You can now assign and change the invoice number when creating an invoice in Reckon One!
This gives you the ability to continue your existing invoice number sequencing when creating an invoice, while at the same time protecting invoice integrity by ensuring the invoice number can only be set at creation, not afterwards.
Admins will now see an editable invoice number field when creating an invoice.
When you save the invoice, Reckon One will automatically run a validation check to make sure the number hasn't already been used. If it has, you'll be presented a message to let you know.
You can also revert back to the automatic next invoice number by using the revert button.
✨ Item list screen has been upgraded!
We've steadily been upgrading screens in Reckon One to the latest tech with more features and functionality and in this release, its your item list screen!
The new item list screen gives you more customisation options including the ability to show the columns that are important to you, and hide those you don't want to see, it also allows you to filter
✨ MVR alert on pay runs
A new Member Verification Request (MVR) alert message appears when marking a pay run as paid if any employees within that pay run have a super fund with an MVR status of Rejected, Verification Pending or Verification Needed.
This allows you to take a second to review and confirm the super details for any employees before proceeding. This will help prevent any potential incorrect data from being included in the SuperStream batch and avoid having to make corrections later.
Please note: This warning will NOT prevent you from marking the pay run as paid, sending STP or sending a Beam lodgement
✨ Classic pay run experience is retiring
In case you missed our previous announcement, from 17 August 2026, the classic payroll creation functionality will be retired, and you'll be automatically moved across to the new payroll experience if you haven't made the switch already.
The new pay run experience provides full page pay run editing, giving you more space to view pay run information. It also includes in-line editing of pay items without the need to open multiple panels & menus. You can even pay multiple pay periods in a single pay run with PAYG tax automatically calculated across periods.
We recommend making the switch today so you can get familiar and start enjoying the benefits of the new payroll experience right away.
🌟 Ability to hide remittance advice
This comes directly from feedback from our awesome users! You now have the optional ability to hide the remittance advice tear-off slip from customer statements to give you a more modern, cleaner statement PDF which is more suited to emails.
To disable the remittance advice from customer statements, head to Settings ➡️ Statements ➡️ Manage Templates ➡️ Footer ➡️ Set the Show Remittance Slip option to No ➡️ Save
✨Service Dates auto-populate to invoice from timesheet
Another improvement directly from feedback and will save you time from having to manually enter service dates on each line item!
When billable timesheet entries are imported to an invoice, service dates will now be auto-populated on the matching line items.
To enable this feature click Settings ➡️ Money In ➡️ Time Settings ➡️ enable the Set invoice service date to time entry date option
