Another jam packed release with some very highly requested features has just landed in Reckon One and we're super excited for you to check it out!
Check out the full inclusions below!
✨ Recurring Journals
Reckon One's recurring transaction features have expanded and you can now create recurring journals!
This allows you to create a recurring journal template once and have Reckon One generate the journal automatically on a schedule of your choosing.
This is particularly handy for regular accounting entries that need to be posted consistently such as prepayments, depreciation, month-end accruals etc.
To create a recurring journal, head to Recurring Transactions ➡️ Add Recurring Journal ➡️ Create your journal entry and set your recurring criteria
✨ Recurring Bills
Recurring bills is another highly requested feature now available in Reckon One! This allows you to create a recurring bill template once and have Reckon One generate the bill automatically on a schedule of your choosing.
This is handy for bills and other regular expenses that need to be entered consistently, such as rent, subscriptions/utilities, insurance, loan repayments etc. Instead of manually recreating the same bill each period, you can set up the supplier, line items, amounts, references and schedule it once to have it reducing repetitive data entry and helping bills be created on time.
To create a recurring bill, head to Recurring Transactions ➡️ Add Recurring Bill ➡️ Create your bill template and set your recurring criteria
✨ New top menu options and pinning your favourite pages
Based on your feedback, we've made some improvements when navigating the top menu along with the ability to pin your most-used screens!
👉 A tidier top menu
Settings - now has its own button in the top menu so you can access your menu quicker with just one click.
Profile - Your profile button includes options to take you to your Reckon Portal profile and Email history.
Book Switcher - Your book name is now a button that allows you to switch books or manage your subscription.
👉 Pin your favourite pages
You can now pin the pages you use most straight to the top so you're not digging through the menu to find them each and every time!
Simply click the start next to any page in the menu to pin it to the top. You can pin up to 5 pages and also drag the pinned pages to any order you'd like.
✨ Printing your SuperStream batch summary
Yet another highly requested feature is finally here! You can now print or download your SuperStream batch summary 🎉
The new print option generates a complete batch summary containing details for all super fund products in the batch. This saves you time without having to review each fund individually and provides a convenient record of the entire SuperStream submission.
✨ Changes to Other leave items
👉 Optional accruals for Other leave types
A new Record Accruals button means accrual fields are only displayed when required. This removes the need to configure accruals for leave types that don't accrue, such as Paid Parental Leave and Workers Compensation.
👉 Leave Without Pay (LWOP) option
A new Leave Without Pay (LWOP) setting is now available for Other leave items. When used in a pay run, it applies a rate of $0.00 instead of the employee's standard rate. As with other pay items, the rate can still be overridden if needed.
👉 Manage super preferences directly from the leave item
You can now choose which leave pay items are included in superannuation calculations directly within the leave pay item setup which eliminates the need to update the super pay item after creating the leave item.
👉 Cleaner employee leave entitlement setup
Other leave items that are configured without accruals will no longer appear when adding or editing leave entitlements for your employees to reduce clutter and confusion.
👉 Clearer terminology
The Default Rates section has been renamed to Record Accruals for this leave item, making it clearer that the section relates to leave accrual calculations.
✨ Removal of unsupported characters
Unsupported characters are now removed from payroll detail fields as you edit them so they can no longer cause a Single Touch Payroll submission to fail.
✨ Warning for pay run with over 180 employees
You will now see a warning when a pay run or pay schedule includes more than 180 employees.
✨ Missing annual entitlement or accrual rate alert message
When you add or edit an employee's leave item, it will now flag any missing annual entitlement or accrual rate on-screen.
✨ If account has a locked date, show lock date next to the bank name
