Gemma to what end? You have it for STP already.0

Hi Kevin, given the large amount of personal information and commercially sensitive information stored within our company files, we believe the Reckon Hosted platform should be protected with two factor authentication (also known as multi factor authentication), which is in line with the Australian Federal Governments advice for companies. Is 2FA something Reckon Hosted are planning to implement in the near term?

"We"? Hmmmm. The ATO have mandated that 2FA be implemented for the interface with SBR. Plenty of systems don't use it for routine processing. Others do, its a market decision. Im not aware of Reckon planning to implement it for the desktop product. I'll grant its an added level of security. There are plenty of other basic things you can do to make sure your files are secure. And 2FA won't stop you getting hit by malware either. You need to focus on what problem it is you are trying to fix. Thanks for your question.0

Hi Keven, please make enquiries to provide me with an accurate answer on my question regarding Reckon implementing 2FA or not, rather than stating your current position of not being aware of any plans to do so.
Otherwise please refer my question to someone who can answer my question with certainty as I would like a formal response as it is a matter of importance.

Hi Gemma,
There are no immediate plans to introduce Multi-Factor Authentication to Hosted logins. As Kevin has mentioned, MFA is active on the STP service, GovConnect as mandated by the ATO.
We do have longer term plans to relocate the Hosted service to the Reckon Portal so it may be something we revisit at that stage.

Hi Gemma it's of no importance to me. I have several client businesses using Hosted. None of them have mentioned it.0
