Launching version 2021R2

I would just like to know please am I able to Launch 2021 R2 prior to sending my EOY finalization file for 20/21 year? All pays for the 20/21 year have been completed and lodged but I don't want to send a finalization file until pays are reconciled, and this is done on a separate Reckon file by another person. Thank you.

As far as Iām aware, the Upgrade has no impact on finalisation eg it can be done in either version.
(@Rav can you please confirm this is the case?)
