Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2021

I have just purchased and installed Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2021. When I open the app it asks me if I am a new user etc. I click the option to open an existing file, open the appropriate file and all appears OK. When I close the app and re-open it, instead of opening the file that I selected, it takes me through the whole procedure again. When I close the app and select the option to backup, the whole thing crashes. Can anyone please help me with this issue?
