Importing Employee List into Data File
Hello,
I can successfully import my employee list names, but notice the following fields don't come through correctly PAYMETHOD defaults to cheque instead of Bank Online (Number 3 on IIF File format)
PAYTIMECARD is not ticked, though 'y' on IIF File format
CUSTOMPI isn't importing allowances, deductions, etc
Could I please have some advice on why it won't import these particular fields.

Hi Karina,
Can you please share your IIF file? You can remove all the data and just leave one generic employee in the file, I just want to see all the fields you use in your file.

Did you find a solution to the above issue, we are having the same issue. Can see PAYMETHOD and PAYTIME CARD on the exported IIF, when we import, it does not show on the Employee care.

Is there any solution? Having the same error importing into accounts hosted...for the same columns. I cannot find a solution anywhere!

The fields you have identified are most likely to be 'read-only' fields, whereby if the information is already present in the employee record, if the employee list is exported, then those fields would be populated.
However, if the employee does not yet exist in the data file and you are trying to create one via import of the IIF file, then those fields would not be used.
Or if the employee does exist, those fields in the IIF file cannot be modified in order to overwrite or replace the values already in the employee record in the data file.

Thanks for your response! Unfortunately even if the field is correct in Reckon and in the exported list, when we import the list again after changing other details it is changing the PAYMETHOD back to cheque.
