Changes to Payroll Items

While processing payroll today, we noticed a few small changes affecting our work. For example, when entering an employee's hours as 2.52, it automatically reverts to 2.51666666.

We also need to process a reversal payment (e.g., -4.5 hrs at X rate + 4.5 hrs at X rate), but the system no longer allows us to enter a negative sign.

Could you please assist with this?

    Hi @Simone_9171542,

That's strange the rates should not be adjusting unless the standard hours worked is adjusted or the rate altogether. When did this begin occurring in your book?

Also, payment reversal you are unable to enter a negative amount. You would need to adjust the previous pay run hours and rate amount that you have set from the pay run that is affecting it.

    Thank you and speak soon.

The adjustment to the hours entered started yesterday afternoon.

As for reversals in the current pay runs…

For example, occasionally an employee may have been paid at a day shift rate instead of an afternoon shift rate. The following week, we make an adjustment to correct this. Please see the attached photo.

As of yesterday afternoon, this function stopped working for us. While we don’t use it often, it’s been a vital part of our process, especially when managing a large pool of casual workers. We were also able to do this in the previous payroll system before the changeover.

    Hi @Simone_9171542,

I haven't been able to replicate this for you at the moment, but I just want to double check you are entering 15.20, does it change after clicking done or marking the pay run as paid? Could you please let me know as I have tested in my book and cannot achieve the same figure as you.

Thank you and speak to you shortly.

    Hi @Simone_9171542,

Could you please privately message me your email address and I will request access to your book to take a look at the figure in case there is an error in your book.

I have had another colleague take a look and it seems that it is not affecting anyone else's book.

Thank you and speak to you soon.

I have the same problem. Negative hours for corrections has historically been useful to apply retrospective adjustments after payments have already been made. I will try and adjust prior timesheet, but it is very cumbersome to do this and then manually adjust banking etc in comparison to before.

i am having the same problem as you with the decimals. that means every employee is coming up with the wrong total.

I haven’t been given a solution yet - however not ideal when pay figures are coming out incorrectly.

not ideal at all. wish it was what it was before.

you cant even manually overide it. so basically every employee is rounded down 0.01 decimal point x (hourly rate) instead of the actually number its suppose to be.

    Hi everyone

We've just released an update to address the issues with balances being rounded in the pay run drawer.

This is now in effect so if you create a new pay run, you'll enter hours in as a decimal value as you were previously, and of course without any rounding occurring.

Thank you again for your patience. If you can please give it a try when you have a chance and let me know if its working for you that would be great.
