Hi,

How can I setup Reckon Payroll for an employee who does not have an email address.

    Hi @BPB

    An email address is a requirement when setting an employee in order to send payslips to them. If the employee currently doesn't have an email address I'd recommend they set up an email address and there are a number of free email providers available such as Gmail, Outlook, Proton etc.

    This employee doesn't have a mobile phone and refuses to setup an email address.

    The only other option to to find software that doesn't require and email address.

    Reckon Payroll does not allow you to create an employee profile without an email address. This is in line with the ATO’s recommendation for STP Phase 2. Including an email address assists in verifying employee identities and ensuring the accuracy of their Tax File Number (TFN).

    If your employee doesn’t currently have an email, I suggest helping them set up a free account through providers like Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo. It’s a quick process and ensures they can access their income statements via MyGov and stay compliant with reporting requirements.
