I understand that from August 1, Novatti payments will have be gone and that we have to sign up to accept PayPal payments if we are to accept online payments.

With the Novatti payments, the customer paid the credit card fees. I understand the I would be paying any PayPal fees? Where can I find out the fees associated with accepting PayPal payments?

    Hi @Anita_8363986

You're correct, Novatti payments will cease operations from 1 August. If you'd like to switch over to PayPal to accept payments, check out the info in this announcement - Important - Reckon Payments powered by Novatti will be decommissioned on 1 August 2025 including the links at the bottom to PayPal's website for info on their fee structure.

    Thanks for that.

Novatti fees were charged to the customer at 1.5% but it seems that the business now has to absorb PayPal fees at 2.9% plus 30c per transaction.

Are there any other cheaper options where the customer pays the fee if choosing to pay by credit card? Or is PayPal the only option?

    Hi @Anita_8363986

PayPal and also Braintree (which is also a PayPal service) are the supported payment services in Reckon One.

Both PayPal and Braintree can create a receipt transaction and mark your invoice off as paid automatically. They'll also allow your customer to pay for the invoice using the Pay Now button on the invoice itself.

PayPal and Braintree are the only options when it comes to payments made on your invoices by your customers with a credit card.

You'll find info on Braintree's fees on their website here - https://www.paypal.com/au/enterprise/paypal-braintree-fees
