CAR ALLOWANCE SET UP ISSUES

Hi Team,

I am trying to add a car allowance for one of our employees but in setting this up, I can add the amount but not the quantity.

We have two car allowances pay items (employees in different departments). The other person who receives this allowance, it shows the quantity.

Could I get some help in rectifying this.

    Where are you seeing this occur specifically? In the Pay Setup screen for the employee or within an individual pay run that you're creating?

    Could you post a screenshot if possible?

    Hello Rav,

    The issue is occurring in the pay set up screen for the employee.

    We had another employee that was using the same car allowance before and there was no issue. Is it possible that after the first pay run using this car allowance, this will rectify itself?

    Hi @JEN,

    If these allowances have already been used, it may no longer be possible to modify them. I recommend creating a new allowance that uses a fixed amount.

    I did as you mentioned and created a new car allowance for this employee. The problem is still there that you can't add a quantity amount. No way of adding it in.

    Looking at the other employee with a car allowance, I can see it says Qty 1 in their employee record.

    Also, I'll need to know a few more details -

    • What is the name of the specific car allowance that you're trying to add
    • Name of the employee that you are trying to add it to
    • Name of the other employee who has this specific allowance item added which does show the quantity
