Hi

I'm trying to import bank data into Reckon Accounts Premier Accountant Edition 2024.

The bank is CBA. I am exporting data file from the bank via internet banking. The file is called Quicken(AUS).qif

I start import into Reckon file the qif file to convert, select the path to save the converted file .qbo and account to import data into.

Then I get an error:

'An error occurred when Reckon Accounts tried to create, open or use the company file. Please try again.

If the problem persists, contact Reckon Technical Support and provide them with the following error codes: (-6150, -1006).

Has anyone encountered this?

Thank you,

Maria

    Hi @Maria_8697178

In the first instance I'd recommend removing the special characters ie. the brackets from the file name in your QIF and then try importing it again.

Let me know if that helps or if you encounter the same error.

    Hi

The link sent by Tanvi does not help unfortunately. It does not make sense why this error would happen when importing a bank statement file.

Rav, I removed the brackets from the file name and same error happens.

Over to you, hopefully someone will find a solution.

    Thank you

    Maria

    Hi Maria,

Have you verified whether the bank data was successfully imported despite the encountered error? Additionally, are you in a multi-user or single-user access?

    Best regards,

    Karren

    Hi Karren,

No bank data has been imported into Reckon.

I am in single user mode.

    Kind regards,

    Maria

    Hi Maria,

    Thanks for clarifying.

Can you try this process and see if it will give you the same error:

    1.   Utilities>Import>web connect files.

    2. Look for QBO file. Looks like the screenshot below. Click Open, select the bank account and continue.
