Super membership number not appearing in Beam lodgement

    HI Rav

    I have just created my first Batch in BEAM Superstream and all went well.

    Except, when I checked the lodgement, I noticed that some employees did not have their membership number included. So I cancelled the lodgement so that I could update their records thinking that I must not have ever put them in their payroll set up. When I checked though, all of them had been set up correctly.

    Why does their membership numbers export in the lodgement to BEAM? Screen shot below:

    Does it matter? Or should the software be extracting the member number?

    That's a good observation @Therese R, I'm not quite sure of the answer to that just yet but I'll find out.

    Are there any commonalities between the employees whose member number isn't appearing in that list?

    Also, just to 100% confirm, each of these employees do have their Member Number listed in their super fund within their employee profile as you've checked, correct?

    I think I have found the issue. The ones that have no membership number are those that have a salary sacrifice elected.

    When I do the Super Contributions by employee report you can see clearly that the salary sacrifice option is not picking up the membership.

    Extract from Super contributions by employee for the employee above:

    There is just one employee who does not have a salary sacrifice option but his membership number does not appear on the report.

    Hey @Therese R

    I didn't have much luck in trying to replicate this myself using the default earnings, super guarantee and salary sacrifice items but I had a chat with our Reckon Payroll product manager about your post. She jumped in and had a look around and was able to get the same result as what you've observed using a different set of items.

    We're going to take a closer look into that on our end and we're raising a ticket to investigate what is causing that. Leave this one with me for a bit and I'll keep you posted with more info as soon as I have it from the team.

    Hey @Therese R

    I wouldn't let this put you off from completing your lodgements. The values are reporting correctly and the file also sends the TFN and other unique information about the employee so I wouldn't have any concerns around this.

    Our dev team will investigate however we're getting very close to the code cut-off deadline which means if there are any changes required, it likely won't occur until after the Christmas break. We've got one more Reckon One release for the year scheduled for early next week and unfortunately I don't think this one will be able to make that release. Just want to be upfront with you in terms of timeframe expectations that's all.

    But as I said, you can safely continue lodging and I'll keep you posted on further developments on our end as they come to hand.
