Super Rate Incorrect
Hi, why does our default super ( Prime Super) still remain at 11.5%, I have implemented the change using Employee- Update Super Rate to 12% & if you look at the Super Funds within the Payroll Item, it also advises 12%. Yet when you run a Super Report some advise 11% & 11.5% . Where else do I change the rate pls?

I too have changed the default rate, but when entering a new employee it doesn’t reflect 12%

Is this not a fault with the program if you change the Super Rate in all Super funds but it stills pulls another figure. I have just checked the Nov Super funds report & I also have another fund pulling through 11%.

Hi everyone,
It seems there is a problem when creating a new employee that the rate stays at the original 11.5%, it appears to be a bug even though all the rate defaults are 12% in my data file.
In regard to your issue @Kathyd, could you please explain where the rates have been changed for your employees? You will need to manually update each pay cheque to the 12% previously created before you noticed the rates.
I will need to raise this with our development team in the meantime as a bug for new employees going to a previous rate and we will go from there.
Apologies for the inconvenience and frustrations this will cause.

Hi Lucas
Here is an example. Super Fund MLC under Payroll Item shows 12% but in his pay it is at 11%. Unless you pick this up when doing the Super report
I believe the problem may also be if an employee is rehired the Super rate % pulls through at the the rate it was when they finished even though the Super Fund is at the current rate.

Hi Kathy,
I'll need to do some testing on my end and see if I am able to replicate as it will be difficult to determine what the problem is for now.
I will let you know how we go and speak to you soon.

I could have sworn I saw a post from @Rav when Hosted 2025 came out that mentioned the employee default rate won't get updated with the new update super process. For the life of me I can't find it but I think this is expected.. as annoying as it is.

When you go to Preferences - employees and Payroll - the rate shows correctly, but Employee defaults doesn’t carry it on

I actually forgot to send this having prepared it an hour ago @Eric Murphy, and in my case I just changed it when setting up the new employee but have now changed it in the default employee page and it’s all good.
You could be right about an original similar post though, too many things go through daily to remember0 -
I completely forgot about that preference setting, love your insight here @Kris_Williams.
Could you please check your preferences based on the recommendation from Kris for us @Kathyd.
Thank you.
