Can't edit tax
Hi, I am trying to process a termination pay, I can't edit the tax withholding on the normal pay portion of this I get the message below
Error - something went wrong while saving the item

Are you changing the earnings or the tax or both?

Still no luck, someone has rung me now but have gone away to check it out! I am just trying to enter a tax amount in the tax withheld area, the termination portion of the tax is fine but it just won't let me add the tax withholding for the normal pay owed, very frustrating

Can I just clarify, are you attempting to override the tax amount that is calculated from an item that is classed as a gross earnings item/unused leave on termination OR tax calculated from some other pay item ie. a termination pay item that has been included in the termination pay?

Hi Rav, I am paying hours of work so a normal pay, the system is calculating no tax for this but there is tax payable which normally I would be able to edit tax withholding and enter the amount, but it won't allow me to save the amount I get the error above.
I have an ETP also and have edited the tax for that - it is fine

What is the tax amount that you're trying to input for those ordinary hours?

It is $88.78, I have tried entering with no cents but nothing works

I can see this has been raised to our product team for further investigation and I’ve asked the Product Owner to have their QA's take a closer look as a priority, which is happening now. I can't make any promises as I need to allow that to happen but I will share an update with you as soon as I have more clarity from the team.

Hi Rav, looks like something might have changed, I deleted and re entered but it is not putting the ILON which is an ETP on the Payroll summary under Earnings, is this correct?

I have checked the STP report and it all looks ok, for some reason I thought it showed ETP separately on payroll summary but I may be mistaken anyway looks like I'm done

Just to confirm, you've been able to action the tax edit and complete the termination pay run?
The update I had from the dev team is that it could potentially be data related and they provided me a workaround that you could potentially try but if you've already been able to action it, then there won't be any need.
If you have, can you step me through the process you went through to do so and I'll update my devs.

Hi Rav,
I have completed, I deleted the pay again, entered the normal pay first, edited the tax, then added the ETP and edited that tax. It worked. Must say very frustrating day when no one is responding and we are bound by legislative requirements to process such pays within a particular time frame. I did ring your support line but to be absolutely honest that was no help at all, but thank you for following up.
