Re: Adding comments to overdue invoices
Hi Reeta - thanks for your reply. We use the memo option for the patients name which needs to print on their statement, so this is not an option for us.
Re: Adding comments to overdue invoices
Hi @54668 ,
Thank you for your query.
The memo feature is available for Reckon customers using the Premier and Enterprise versions of Reckon Accounts. You can locate the memo option at the bottom right-hand side of your invoice. Please ensure that you have one of these versions installed.
To begin, write a note in memo section and save it. Next, navigate to the collections report. Once you generate the report, click on "Modify Report" and select the "Description" option. Finally, refresh the report, and your memo should appear. To make changes so that the customer cannot see that memo in customer statement, I have attached an article below.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Reeta

Hi @54668
If it does not print, it would not be in the PDF that you email them.

#TipTuesday - Understanding the Audit Trail in Reckon Accounts
Good Morning everyone!!
For today's #TipTuesday, I want to share a feature I recently learned about in one of my customer interactions: the Audit Trail feature in Reckon Accounts Desktop and Reckon Accounts Hosted.
The audit trail automatically tracks all the additions, deletions, and modifications made to transactions in your data file. The audit trail ensures that an accurate record of your data is maintained.
Where to Find It
To access the audit trail, follow these steps:
- Go to the Reports menu
- Choose Accountant
- Click on Audit Trail
Main features of the Audit Trail
- Track who entered the transactions: This is especially helpful when multiple users are accessing the company file, and you're unsure who made specific changes. In our case, both the original entry and the modification were made by "admin." However, if another user had made the change, it would display their name based on the User they are logged in as.
- See changes to transactions: If a transaction is modified or deleted, the changes will appear as a "Latest" entry, while the original entry is marked as "Prior" below it. Otherwise, these entries are typically ordered by the date of entry.
- Use filters to make the report easier to navigate: To enhance usability, you can apply filters. For example, you can select a different date range from the Date Entered/Last Modified drop-down list or filter out specific columns according to your preferences. This allows you to customize the report's details to suit your needs.
These features help you track and review changes to your entries, making it easier to understand how, when, and by whom changes were made.
In a recent case, a customer was working on a company file and noticed some unexpected changes to transactions. By using the audit trail, we were able to pinpoint that the changes were made by one of their colleagues, helping clear up the confusion.
I hope this feature helps others. I wasn’t aware of it until recently, but now, with tax time approaching, I can see how useful it can be.
Re: Reckon One - Receipting duplicate payments
I just worked it out:
- Receive money
- Untick Use Transaction Total box
- Enter the amount paid
- Allocate the amount owing on the invoice
Once you have done this, Save & Close, this will prompt Reckon to ask if you issue to raise a credit etc.
Transforming imported data into Reckon Accounts Hosted invoices
I am looking for a Reckon partner who is experienced and can assist with taking exported data from 3rd party software and import it into Reckon Accounts Hosted invoices. The 3rd party software is MMEx a web-based e-Health platform. Thanks.

Re: Salary Sacrifice amount not appearing in RESC column of payroll report
Hi again Rav
Went through the profile again in edit mode of the employee with the super issue and his tax is now back.
Will process the pay run now and hopefully, his super is also fixed so that the SS amount is shown in RESC.
Re: Salary Sacrifice amount not appearing in RESC column of payroll report
Hi Rav
All good! Just processed the payrun and all appears to be fixed. The SS is now reporting under RESC and the PAYG has been calculated for both.
Thanks for your tips and also to @klaura and @Lucas . Still don't understand why these 2 were affected other than my suspicions that it has something to do with starting a payrun on Friday but didn't finish it until today. I thought I only worked on one of the employees but maybe I had also changed the SS amount on the other employee in readiness for today.
